This week didn’t go as planned.
No devotional on Monday. No podcast on Wednesday. And this post? It’s arriving late on Friday. I’ve felt it all week, that subtle dissonance, like a melody missing its downbeat. Life events, creative focus, and shifting priorities can throw us off rhythm. And when you’re someone who tries to show up consistently, for your readers, your listeners, your family, it’s easy to feel like you’ve dropped the ball.
But here’s the truth: I haven’t stopped trying. I haven’t lost heart. My focus this week has been on something new and exciting, I have been hard at working devleoping a dedicated OurNightSky app for the Apple Store. It’s designed to bring our celestial rhythms, devotionals, podcasts, and daily images into one beautiful, modular experience. I can’t wait to share it with you once it’s approved, the beta testing went well, and it’s ready for the v1.0 launch!
Still, I’ve felt out of sync. And maybe you have too.
Maybe your week didn’t unfold the way you hoped. Maybe your intentions were strong, but your energy was scattered. Maybe you’re carrying more than you let on.
If that’s you, I want to say: it’s okay.
We’re allowed to lose rhythm. We’re allowed to miss a beat. Grace doesn’t require perfection; it invites presence. And in the quiet, in the delay, in the unfinished edges of our week, God is still here.
Because while our lives may feel out of sync, God’s universe never is.
The stars rise and set. The moon waxes and wanes. The galaxies swirl in patterns older than time. And through it all, the Creator’s rhythm holds steady. That’s the comfort I return to, not my own consistency, but His.
So today, I’m choosing grace. I’m choosing to trust that even in the missed posts and late releases, something beautiful is still unfolding. And I’m grateful you’re here for the journey.
Stay tuned. The new app is coming soon, and with it, a renewed rhythm.
Until then, keep looking up!
