Echoes of Heaven: A Reflection Beneath the Crescent Moon and Mars
Bonus: Our Night Sky Album is officially released!

Tonight, I plan to step outside and look westward; the sky should greet me with a slender crescent Moon nestled beside the red glow of Mars. (The crescent moon is my favorite phase.) They will hover together just above the horizon. I plan to stand there for as long as I can before the mosquitoes eat me alive, but I plan to let the hush of the evening settle over me, and I hope to something stir deep within and find peace in that moment. I know it will do me a world of good; this is why I make every effort to soak in these moments. I pray to hear God speak to me as I move forward into this week.
Psalm 19:1: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
In that quiet space, I often reflect on how I can at times feel like that crescent Moon, dim, incomplete, maybe even overlooked. But just as the Moon reflects the light of the Sun, we are called to reflect the light of Christ.
Even when we feel small, His glory shines through us. And Mars, with its fiery hue, often reminds me of the courage I need to walk boldly in my life recovery. I am reminded of Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
These moments under the stars always feel like a divine echo, one that resonates with the heart of this small, humble ministry I am working to grow, or as you know it as “Our Night Sky”.
That’s why I’m so excited to share that a new worship album, Echoes in the Stars, is now available on all streaming platforms. This album is more than music. It’s a branching out, a new chapter in building the Our Night Sky ministry. Each song was crafted to uplift, to heal, and to remind us that even in the vastness of the universe, we are seen and loved.
Echoes in the Stars is a companion to the blog and podcast, a way to bring the message of hope and wonder into new spaces. It’s an offering to those who need a reminder that God’s presence is woven into every sunset, every constellation, and every quiet night of reflection. I believe that when we look up, we’re not just stargazing, we’re soul-searching. And sometimes, the answers come in whispers carried on moonlight.
So tonight, as the Moon and Mars draw close in the sky, I invite you to draw close to the One who made them. Let their quiet beauty lead you into worship. Let their alignment remind you that even in the vastness, there is order, purpose, and grace. And let the echoes of heaven stir something new in your heart.
Until next time, keep looking up.
